Published October 1
After five years of writing and research, I finally published A Piece of My Heart on October 1. It’s the fifth novel in the Barton Family Series, available on Amazon in Kindle, paperback, and hardback formats.
Audio Version Available Soon
In an effort to publish a listening version of A Piece of My Heart, I met with a false start. However, I’ve signed a contract with a producer from Georgia whose voice will be a good match for the narrator of the story. The audio version should be ready by December 1, just in time for the holidays.
Positive Early Reviews
I’ve been gratified by the positive reviews thus far by fellow book readers and writers:
Tilly Duncan, Pastor Emerita at Sardis Baptist Church in Charlotte writes
A Piece of My Heart engages the human heart with the tragedy and triumph of daily living.
Joan Dickson of Mount Gilead comments that
The book left me with a gentle hope in tomorrow even with the events of the world taking place now.
Mary Wheat of Winston Salem says
The fifth book and the best. The characters are believable and well developed; a good read.
Cathy Morrison of Winston Salem calls the story
A well-researched description of the infrequently told saga unfolding in Japanese occupied China.
Diana Hankins of Indian Trails writes
Great historical fiction and the opportunity to follow the lives of characters as they have evolved to this point.
