Whole30 Diary: Day 18

Whole30 Diary: Day 18

It’s Monday, the traditional day to implement new habits and goals. Mine are to cut back on snacking portions and stick to the less calorie-laden foods on the Whole30 list.

  • Breakfast–Eggs fried in clarified butter, berries with coconut cream. (Not only does the coconut cream have a slightly sweet taste, it pairs nicely with the acidic, tart taste of the fruit–similar to dairy cream)
  • Lunch–Tuna salad made with homemade mayo; chopped up veggies with vinegar and oil dressing, avocado, tomato wedges.
  • Snack–dates
  • Dinner–Meat sauce served over baby spinach sautéed in garlic; fresh blueberries topped with coconut cream; dates
  • Met my goal of 10,000 steps on Fitbit.

I did do better today with controlling snack portions. I’m beginning to struggle with food boredom, which does decrease my desire to eat. I guess that’s a good thing.
