26 Jan Whole30 Diary: Day 25
Thirty Days Has September…January Has Thirty-One
Oh, my gosh! I had totally forgotten that January has thirty-one days. I knew that February comes in on Monday. And in the back of my mind I was thinking, Okay, I started Whole30 on January first…A month is 30 days, so I’ll finish on February 1. But then it hit me like that V-8 commercial where the lady smacks herself in the head and says, I could have had a V-8… I’ll be finished one day earlier than I thought!
I feel like the little engine on the downward slope of the mountain, changing his chant from I think I can, I think, I can, I think I can to I thought I could, I thought I could, I thought I could.
What a difference a day makes!
Whole30 Day 25
- Breakfast–Eggs fried in clarified butter, homemade applesauce.
- Lunch–Cobb salad (hold the cheese) with oil and vinegar dressing, taken with friends at our wonderful new neighborhood restaurant, The Sherwood.
- Snack–cashews, dates
- Dinner–Organic chicken sausages with sweet potatoes and haricots vert ( I just love using the tender, tiny green beans sautéed with onion in clarified butter, plus it gives me a chance practice my French).
- Reached my goal of 10,000 steps on Fitbit.
